To celebrate #nationalcoffeeday on Sept. 29 and #internationalcoffeeday on Oct. 1, Chris and I were invited to tour the Don Francisco’s coffee plant for an episode of Brooker Brew! We met with 4th generation coffee Roaster Michael Gaviña who shared about his family’s passion for making coffee and their commitment to sustainability.
We started off with a cupping – like wine tasting for coffee – with different Don Francisco’s flavors. It was so cool to learn about how they only use the best coffee beans for roasting. We tried several of their popular brewed coffees like the Kona Blend, Hawaiian Hazelnut, and Columbian Supremo.
And we loved Don Francisco’s Old Havana Espresso which comes in a coffee capsule. 10/10 would recommend all these flavors! I wish you could smell the coffee through the phone!
We also toured the plant to see how they process their coffee from start to finish. We love their emphasis on sustainability with their Coffee Recycling Program. Should I do a part two with a closer look at the Don Francisco’s plant?? It’s so fascinating! You can try any of these flavors by picking them up online or in most local grocery stores. Don’t forget to try their seasonal Pumpkin Spice blend for fall!
