The internet just got a little more GROSS with the arrival of The Grossery Gang Movie: Putrid Power on YouTube! Chan and I went to a special screening for the movie and let’s just say, we were totally grossed out in a good way.
For those not in the know, The Grossery Gang is a collectible toy franchise by Australian company Moose Toys created in 2016. It is a spin-off of their discontinued Trash Pack line, while also being a comparable parody of their current Shopkins line.
The addictive collectible toys have since been turned into an animated webseries on The Grossery Gang YouTube channel. These shorts have amassed millions of views in the last year and inspired millions fans around the world. In the short movie (about 34 minutes long) The Grossery Gang including Putrid Pizza, Dodgey Donut, Shoccoli and Rotten Egg must face off against the evil Clean Team, led by the wicked overlord Vac Attack. Will they be able to keep the streets of their beloved Cheap Town reeking? Or will the Clean Team wash away all the grime for good?! You have to watch to find out!
At the event hosted by Moose Toys we got to see a real life version of Putrid Pizza in a dance contest. There were also fun games, slime, snacks and of course Grossery Gang toys to play with during the after party. Chan couldn’t wait to get home and put her new gross toys to the test.
The movie is perfect for boys and girls who like the gross out factor of play. With names like Horrid Hamburger, Fungus Fries and Burp-rito you can see how much fun the kids can have. The great thing about this webseries is that your kids can watch it anywhere since it’s on YouTube. And they can collect all their favorite characters to keep their little hands busy. There’s hundreds to collect and find at the Yucky Mart and beyond.
