October is Eczema Awareness Month and many people don’t know that this is something we deal with in our family. With his permission, my husband Chris has given me the OK to talk about his struggle with eczema. It’s something he has been dealing with for years. And at my urging, he has tried several medications, over the counter and prescribed to help but none of them seem to work.

Most of his breakouts are on his arms, legs and chest. They seem to flare up when it’s hot outside or when he’s stressed, but other than that we don’t know what causes them. He’s described it to me as needed to scratch the flareups until they bleed. It’s really painful, and frustrating and he often feels helpless to prevent it.

A few weeks ago we started using Sarna Sensitive just in time for Eczema Awareness Month and I can’t tell you what a difference it’s made. Chris applies this lotion in the morning and the evening and his breakouts have all but disappeared. He has relief for the first time in years.

Channing loves helping him it put it on because she knows it makes him feel better and honestly, I’m relieved as well. It may not seem like a big deal to someone who has never experienced eczema, but it’s a relentless condition that effects his sleep, and feeling comfortable in his own skin.

Another benefit of Sarna is how moisturizing is it for dry skin. In the fall and winter months our skin gets very dry and we can’t seem to get the right kind of lotion to keep our skin hydrated. Chan loves using it on her arms and legs because it makes her feel like daddy.
