When I was growing up my mom taught me a lot of things and one of the things that has always stuck with me and I have clear memories of is learning how to be good at getting the house clean from top to bottom. This was something she took very seriously and often made me re-clean if the job wasn’t up to par. 

I remember one time I wiped down the counters, but didn’t lift up the toaster and the knife block and my mom came in to check my work.
