When I was growing up I would save up my money to buy my mom gifts from Lane Bryant. It was the only store that carried nice clothes in her size and it was a big deal to get something from there. I remember we would go into the store a few weeks before Christmas and she would casually pick things up, or touch them saying “Oh I really like this!” Hint hint.

Most of the time I got the hint and was able to get her a beautiful piece to add to her wardrobe for birthdays and holidays. Cut to many years later and Lane Bryant is still her favorite place to shop and mine as well. The quality and style just can’t be matched. And right now is the perfect time to see their fall looks just in time for the holidays.

I chose a red cowl-neck poncho to make a statement for the holidays. It’s so soft and isn’t too thick but definitely warm. I paired it with these comfy wide leg crop jeans and faux leather black boots. It’s a casual look that I can see myself wearing all fall and into winter. Even though LA doesn’t really get a winter I can still dress the part.

And I absolutely fell in love with this burgundy twisted mini-dress in velvet. It’s perfect for holiday parties or the red carpet. I and treated myself to these strappy block heels. I never wear this style of shoe but I’m so glad I did. My legs looked amazing!

As I get older I realize that I’m more confident in what I wear and what makes me feel beautiful. Clothes that fit my body and my style are always at the top of my list. Anyone can go to a discount store and pay 7 bucks for a t-shirt but as a professional who is almost always in front of a camera, I  need something more. I need quality and style that a 7 dollar shirt just can’t give me.

If  you’re a curvy mama like me then I want to encourage you to take a look at what Lane Bryant has in their fall and holiday collection. Treat yourself to clothes that make you feel as fabulous as you are and create those stylish memories! You can see the full fall collection at lanebryant.com.  What pieces would you choose to Create Your Lane?
