My daughter Channing loves to color and do arts and crafts. So when Lullubee reached out to me to try their Giant Coloring Mural, I said you betcha!  Lullubee is a DIY craft business focused on creating handmade crafts and jewelry. I’m so bad at arts and crafts. But I love doing them with my daughter. She really seems to enjoy them so I’m happy to cheer her on in her artistic endeavors.

The Giant Coloring Mural is exactly as it sounds. Giant! It’s 5′ wide by 2.5′ high.  There were several designs to choose from so I let Chan pick. She of course wanted the princess with the castle which is aptly titled, Perfectly Princess.  These murals can be placed on the floor, table, or wall.  We unrolled ours and put it on the wall so it could be at eye level.

She went right for the princess!

The first thing I noticed was just how big and beautiful the picture is! And they’re not your typical coloring book scenes. They have a whimsical vintage feel about them and honestly are really special even without the color. Chan started coloring the princess dress first. We used markers but switched it up with crayons too.  Both worked beautifully and the colors really popped on the brown paper.  We didn’t try paint, but I have a feeling it would work well because the paper is nice and thick. Each scene from the collection looks like it has a lot of areas to cover. In fact, we weren’t able to finish the piece in one day. She colored for a bit, then had a snack, did some other toddler things, then rediscovered it again in her playroom.  I kind of like that aspect of it.  Just like an actual wall mural, she could take her time, decide which parts she wanted to work on, and take breaks. My thought was this would be great for a family with a couple of kids or a birthday party where everyone could pick and area to work on.
